You've got one fiber pair strung between two buildings and you need both directions on it. The MC112CS uses WDM so transmit rides at 1310 nm and receive at 1550 nm over that single strand. No second cable. No half the cabling cost you'd pay for a duplex pair. It converts your RJ45 copper to 100M single-mode SC fiber out to 20 km, IEEE 802.3u compliant, with auto MDI/MDIX on the copper side so cable order doesn't matter. Pair it with an MC111CS on the far end and you've got a working link before your coffee goes cold. Full-duplex flow control (802.3x) and half-duplex backpressure keep the traffic moving without drops
