Your current monitor blurs fast turns, HDR looks flat, and the stand locks you into one awkward angle. You've been tolerating it because 'good enough' was all the options offered.
The U27G42 is not good enough. It's 3840×2160 at 160 Hz on a Fast IPS panel with 0.5 ms MPRT. VESA DisplayHDR 400 pushes peak brightness to 450 nits in HDR mode, so highlights pop and shadows stay deep. DCI-P3 coverage hits 100% with Delta E under 2 — colours are accurate out of the box.
Adaptive Sync kills tearing. Gaming tools like Shadow Control, Sniper Scope, and Dark Boost are one button press away. Flicker-Free and Low Blue Mode keep your eyes from killing you after a four-hour session.
HDMI 2.1 × 2 and DisplayPort 1.4 cover your console and PC without adapter chains. The full ergonomic stand — 130 mm height, ±90° pivot, ±30° swivel, tilt — means you set it once and forget it.
DP cable is in the box. Plug in, set 4K 160 Hz, lock in.
