The G-DRIVE 24TB sits on our shelf right now. Inside is a 7200RPM Ultrastar enterprise-class drive that pushes up to 280MB/s read and write over USB-C (10Gbps). That means your 4K rushes off in seconds, not the agonising hour-and-a-half you're used to.
The enclosure is stackable, anodized aluminium. Two anchor points on each side clip it straight onto a DIT cart or a mounting plate, so it stays put on set or in the edit bay. Three LED brightness modes – off, default, bright – so it doesn't glare at 2am when you're still rendering.
It ships formatted APFS. Plug it into your Mac, open Time Machine, done. Running Windows? Reformat and you're good on 10 or later.
