You've got a drive full of data and no easy way to get it off. Maybe the old PC is dead. Maybe you're migrating to a new machine and don't want to open a case. The Simplecom SE301 does one job properly: it slots your 2.5" or 3.5" SATA drive in, you plug in a USB 3.0 cable, and the data starts moving at up to 5 Gbps. No drivers. No software install. Just power on and go.
The removable top cover is the clever bit. Leave it on and it's a fixed external enclosure for a 3.5" drive you use daily. Pop it off and it becomes a hot-swap dock — slide in a drive, pull data, slide it out, slot the next one. Handy when you're pulling files off multiple drives or swapping between a 2.5" laptop SSD and a 3.5" desktop HDD.
Bottom ventilation holes keep things cool during sustained transfers, so your drive isn't cooking itself while you wait. LED indicators show power and activity at a glance. On/off switch means you're not hunting for the plug every time.
Backs up to USB 2.0 and 1.1 if you're still on an older machine. Works with Windows XP and later, Linux, and Mac OS 10.4+. In stock in our warehouse and ready to ship when your order lands.
In the box: SE301 unit, power adapter, USB 3.0 cable, screwdriver, two screws, and a quick-start manual
