One USB-C port on your laptop. You need a monitor, a mouse, a keyboard, and to stay charged. Juggling three dongles at the desk is not how you should start Monday.
The Simplecom CHT550 fixes that in one cable. Plug it into your USB-C port and you get HDMI 2.0 out (4K@60Hz, Mirror or Extended), three USB-A ports, and a 100W PD charging input. One connection, everything sorted.
Here's what's under the aluminium shell: one SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port at 5Gbps for your external SSD or high-speed drive, two USB 2.0 ports (480Mbps) for your keyboard and mouse. The HDMI port handles 3840×2160 at 60Hz. The PD port takes up to 100W so your laptop keeps its charge while you're working.
It's 38 grams, 10.2 cm long, and the built-in 15 cm USB-C cable means no extra leads in your bag. Plug and play – no drivers, no setup. Works with Windows 10 and above, macOS 10.12 and above.
One thing to check before you order: your laptop's USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) for the HDMI output to work. Some ports are charge-and-data only. If yours has Thunderbolt or USB4, you're covered. For 4K@60Hz specifically, you'll want a GPU with DP 1.4 (Intel 11th Gen Core Mobile or later).
