You're juggling a dongle for your laptop, a separate ethernet adapter, and still can't plug in your mouse without yanking something else out. Or you're on flaky Wi-Fi during a client call and the screen freezes. Sorted with one small aluminium block.
The Simplecom CHN436 gives you four USB ports — three USB-A at 5 Gbps and one USB-C at 480 Mbps — plus a wired Gigabit Ethernet port on a single 13 cm cable. It plugs into USB-C or USB-A (adapter included), so it works on the MacBook in the corner and the Windows desktop in the office without hunting for a different dongle.
No drivers. No external power brick. You plug it in, it works. Windows 7 and up, macOS 10.7 and up, Linux, Android, ChromeOS, and Nintendo Switch are all supported out of the box. The ASIX AX88179A controller handles auto-negotiation at 10/100/1000 Mbps, so your wired connection stays steady where Wi-Fi can't.
It's 48 grams, 10.8 cm long, and made of aluminium alloy. Fits in a laptop sleeve pocket. You'll forget it's there until you need that extra USB port or a reliable wired link.
One thing to know: the USB-C female port on the hub is data-only. No video out, no pass-through charging. If you need either, that's a different cable job.
Add to cart and it's on its way. No forms, no 'we'll be in touch.'
