Your laptop's got a single USB-A port and you need two monitors. The national chain says 'check compatibility' and sends you a PDF. The marketplace seller says 'it should work' and ghosts you.
This one just works. The MBEAT DisplayLink dock takes one USB-B 3.0 connection (or USB-C via the included 1m cable) and gives you two HDMI 1.3 outputs at full 1080p/60Hz each. No resolution splitting. No daisy-chain. Two clean, sharp screens from a single port.
It's built for the laptops that can't natively drive dual displays: older ThinkPads, Dell XPS units with one video out, MacBook Pros running M1/M2/M3 where you've got a single external display limit, and any Windows machine that's been holding up on one screen for too long.
Six USB ports downstream: two USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 (one with BC1.2 charging for your phone) and four USB-A 2.0 for keyboards, mice, legacy scanners. Gigabit Ethernet so you're not tethered to Wi-Fi in a meeting room with 40 people on the same access point. 3.5mm audio in/out for your headset.
One thing to know before you plug in: DisplayLink needs a driver. Download it from Synaptics' site (link in the manual), install it, and the dock is plug-and-display from then on. The 5V/4A power adapter is in the box and powers the dock itself; your laptop still needs its own charger.
