The UVC-AI-LPR is purpose-built for one job: reading plates on vehicles doing up to 90 km/h. The 3x optical zoom pulls the plate into frame without pixel-cruising, and the 15 m IR keeps it legible after dark. It's tuned to cover two lanes of traffic from a single mount point.
One heads-up so you're not surprised: in low light it's optimised for reflective and non-reflective plates specifically. If you also need to capture vehicle make, model, or colour in the dark, pair it with a second camera for wider detail.
