Ten kilometres wasn't enough. You've got a site 30 km out, a regional office, or a run along a road reserve that just won't do copper. The GCR2000LC.50 takes your 10/100/1000Base-T RJ-45 signal and puts it onto 1000Base-ZX singlemode LC fibre for up to 50 km. One pair of converters, problem gone.
It's a dual-purpose unit: run it standalone on a shelf in the server room, or slot it into an Alloy DCR12 chassis when you've got a row of conversions to keep tidy. Slide-in, hot-swap, no network downtime while you add the next one.
The RJ-45 port is IEEE 802.3ab compliant and auto-senses 10/100/1000 Mbps up to 100 m. The LC fibre side handles the long haul at 1310 nm singlemode. Link Fault Passthrough (Forced and Far-end Fault) tells you exactly where a break is instead of making your tech drive 40 km to find a snapped connector.
Powered by plugpack or USB. All-metal case that shrugs off a server room in a Queensland summer. If 50 km is the distance, this is the converter that gets you there without a middleman switch
