You've got an existing SC-terminated singlemode fibre run — maybe it's been in the building since the last fit-out — and you need to bridge a gigabit copper link onto it. The GCR2000SC.10 does that: 10/100/1000Base-T RJ-45 into 1000Base-LX singlemode SC fibre, up to 10 km.
No need to re-patch or swap connectors. The SC port matches the patch panel you already have. Run it standalone on a shelf, or slide it into an Alloy DCR12 chassis when you've got multiple conversions to keep in one tidy rack unit. Hot-swap either way, zero downtime.
The RJ-45 side is IEEE 802.3ab compliant and auto-senses 10/100/1000 Mbps up to 100 m. Link Fault Passthrough (Forced and Far-end Fault) means a break on the far end lights up where you'd expect, not buried three hops back in the network.
