Your team's laptops are crawling. Excel takes 90 seconds to open. The last batch is hitting end-of-support and IT is playing catch-up. Sorted.
The ThinkPad T16 Gen 5 pairs an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 with 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB NVMe SSD. It boots fast, runs your stack, and stays responsive whether you're on the shop floor or in a boardroom. The 47 TOPS NPU handles AI-assisted workflows — dictation, summarisation, background processing — locally, so your data doesn't leave the building.
The 16-inch WUXGA panel (1920×1200) gives you real estate for spreadsheets and side-by-side documents without a second monitor. 400 nits means it's readable in a sunlit office, not just a dark server room. Anti-glare coating keeps reflections out of your eyes during an eight-hour shift.
Connectivity is where it earns its keep. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports handle USB PD charging, DisplayPort 2.1 output, and data — one cable does all three. HDMI 2.1 pushes a 4K display at 60Hz. Wi-Fi 7 keeps you connected in a crowded office. And yes, there's a built-in RJ-45 Ethernet port for the days Wi-Fi isn't enough.
Security is baked in, not bolted on. Discrete TPM 2.0, fingerprint reader in the power button, IR camera for Windows Hello, and a physical privacy shutter on the 5MP webcam. ThinkShield covers the supply chain side too.
It weighs 1.63 kg. The 60Wh battery runs a full workday on a single charge. The 65W USB-C charger tops it up between meetings.
Three-year Premier Support is included. If something goes wrong, Lenovo's team handles it — courier or carry-in, and the battery is covered for a year within that window.
Windows 11 Pro comes loaded. No activation dance, no extra software to strip out. Open the box and it's ready
